Gyeonggi Province in Korea Launches AI Content Awards with New Webtoon Category

Gyeonggi Province in Korea will host the Korea AI Content Awards on September 26–27 at the Suwon Convention Center, expanding last year's AI International Film Festival to include webtoons and music.Themed “Where the Future Becomes a Memory,” the event introduces a new “Pitch the Future” session, which seeks long-form project proposals across three categories: film, music, and webtoons. For the webtoon division, creators are invited to submit original long-form projects that incorporate generative AI in the planning or production process. Entries are open to individuals, teams, or companies worldwide.Finalists will be selected through a competitive review, with five webtoon proposals advancing to the final stage. Winners will be announced during the festival, with selected webtoon, film, and music projects sharing a prize pool of 75 million KRW (approx.
