LINE Manga Tops Japan's App Revenue Rankings in 1st Half of 2025

LINE Manga, Naver WEBTOON's Japanese-language platform, was the highest-grossing app in Japan during the first half of 2025, according to data released by mobile analytics firm data.ai on July 8.The ranking, based on combined consumer spending on iOS and Android platforms (including games), placed LINE Manga at No. 1, followed by kakao Piccoma's webtoon platform Piccoma and the mobile game Pokémon TCG Pocket. Other top-ranking apps included Monster Strike and Last War: Survival Game.In the comics and novels category, LINE Manga retained the top spot for the second consecutive half-year, overtaking Piccoma, which had long dominated the Japanese market.Piccoma was still the app with the highest consumer spending in Japan for 2024, according to Data.ai. LINE Manga came third.Naver WEBTOON is rapidly expanding its presence in Japan.
