Golden Kamuy Anime Reveals Final Arc's January 2026 Debut, 2 Prologue Films in October
The staff for the anime of Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga announced on Wednesday that its final arc will debut in January 2026 on Tokyo MX and other channels, and also announced the final arc's two prologue anime films titled Golden Kamuy: Sapporo Beer Kōjō-hen (Golden Kamuy: Sapporo Beer Factory Arc) in a teaser trailer. The films will open in Japanese theaters on October 10 and 31. The teaser announces the films' theme song "Kogane no Kanata" (Beyond the Gold) by Awich × ALI, and previews its instrumental version. The prologue films has Sugimoto, Asirpa, and Shiraishi heading to Sapporo to resume finding the gold. In Sapporo, they try to track one of the escaped prisoners named Keiji Ueji. Meanwhile, the 7th Division's Tokishige Usami and Warrant Officer Mokutarō Kikuta (and the group led by Toshizō Hijikata) are also in Sapporo tracking down another escaped prisoner who had committed a series of murders of prostitutes. Sugimoto and Hijikata reluctantly agreed to cooperate to find the prisoner, and they get information that the next murder will occur at a Sapporo beer factory. They plan an ambush to capture the prisoner, but everything turns into chaos with the 7th Division and even Ueji showing up. The television anime lists a mostly returning cast and staff. Chief director Shizutaka Sugahara returns from the fourth season at Brains Base, and Noboru Takagi also returns to oversee the scripts. Takumi Yamakawa is again designing the characters. Yukihiro Shibutani (Case Closed, Natsume's Book of Friends, TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You) and Mao Miyake (Natsume's Book of Friends season 7) are the' art directors. Magic Capsule is in charge of sound production, and WOWOW is distributing.ALI performed the anime's fourth season opening theme song "NEVER SAY GOODBYE feat. Mummy-D," and hip-hop artist Awich performed second Shangri-La Frontier anime season's second opening theme song "Frontiers."The anime restarted its broadcast on April 3 with its first episode (overall episode 37 for the anime franchise).The first television anime season premiered in April 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan, and Funimation streamed it with an English dub. The second season premiered in October 2018. The Blu-ray Disc will feature the anime adaptation of the popular manga chapter "Inazuma Gōtō to Mamushi no O-Gin" ("The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin"), and the mini episode "Shimaenaga" (The Hokkaido Long-Tailed Snow Bird).
