Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Game's Trailer Previews Customization/Gadgets, Reveals Switch 2 Release Window

The official YouTube channel of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise began streaming a new trailer for its Sonic Racing CrossWorlds game on Wednesday. Sega announced that the game will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 digitally in holiday 2025 and physically in early 2026 with the full game on the cartridge. There will be a Switch 2 upgrade pack for owners of the Switch version, and progress will carry over. The video previews customization and gadgets: The game will feature over 70 gadgets, as well as over 100 vehicle parts and decals, for its 40+ vehicles.Sega will release the game on September 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.The game will feature guests from other Sega franchises including Hatsune Miku, Like a Dragon's Ichiban, and Persona 5's Joker. The Minecraft franchise will also appear in the game.There will be an animation project for the game in September.There was a closed network test from February 22-24.Sega released the Team Sonic Racing game in May 2021 physically and digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch (with a digital-only release on PC). The game is a kart racing game featuring characters from the franchise, as well as both online multiplayer and single player modes.
