Japanese Live-Action Adaptation of Marry My Husband Webtoon Tops Prime Video Japan Rankings

The Japanese version of live-action adaptation of the Marry My Husband web novel and webtoon premiered on June 27 on Amazon Prime Video, and has risen to No. 1 on Prime Video Japan's charts, according to global streaming ranking tracker FlixPatrol.The Korean live-action adaptation of Marry My Husband, also available on Prime Video, ranked as the seventh most-watched non-English series, and fifth in the TV show category globally in 2024. With the release of the Japanese remake, the Korean original has seen a resurgence, re-entering Prime Video Japan's Top 10 rankings.Takeru Satō (live-action Rurouni Kenshin, Ajin) and Fūka Koshiba (live-action Wave, Listen to Me!; Ōoku) lead the Japanese version. Marry My Husband follows the story of Ji-won Kang, who, after her husband and best friend betray her, meets a tragic death. She is, however, given a second chance to go back in time to seek revenge and build a new life.The separate live-action Korean series adaptation aired earlier this year starring Min-young Park and In-woo Na.
