HYBE's Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Webtoon Surpasses 200 Million Global Views

HYBE announced on Thursday its original webtoon Dark Moon: The Blood Altar has officially surpassed 200 million views worldwide.Since its launch, the fantasy romance series has been released in 10 languages. It has accumulated 63.6 million views in the United States and 36.3 million in Spanish-speaking countries. The series held the No. 1 spot in the fantasy category for 20 consecutive weeks in China and 10 weeks in Germany, and ranked among the top 10 Sunday webtoons for 26 straight weeks in North America and for 60 weeks in France.Created in collaboration with K-pop group ENHYPEN, Dark Moon: The Blood Altar blends supernatural elements with teen romance, following seven vampire boys and a mysterious girl. Its cross-media appeal has been amplified by ENHYPEN's musical contributions, including the original soundtrack song “Criminal Love,” which topped iTunes charts in eight countries. The group also incorporates themes from Dark Moon into their albums and music videos.Meanwhile, Chapter 4 of the prequel series, Children of Vamfield by Dark Moon, is set to release on August 31.Aniplex announced in September it will produce an anime adaptation of the webtoon series.
