The staff of Otakon announced over the past week that this year's event will host the following guests: Otakon 2025 is scheduled for August 8-10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The event will also host voice actors Nobutoshi Canna, Ryōko Shiraishi, Ayana Taketatsu, Kanna Nakamura, Taishi Murata, and Ryōta Takeuchi; Maho Film animation producer Yūki Mukai; manga artists Chika Mizube, Minoji Kurata, and Sai Naekawa; manga editor Takumi Kamemaru; illustrator CHRIS; character designer and animation director Hidenori Matsubara; author and composer Taketeru Sunamori; J-pop singer MindaRyn; A-1 Pictures' director Shōtarō Kitamura and production manager Yūtarō Itō; and the creative team behind the Too Many Losing Heroines! light novels. It will host voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi and Studio Trigger staff members Hiroki Arai, Hiromi Wakabayashi, and Sushio.The event will host the U.S. premiere of the first episode of the television anime of Sai Naekawa's This Monster Wants to Eat Me (Watashi o Tabetai, Hito de nashi) manga on August 8. Manga creator Sai Naekawa, manga editor Takumi Kamemaru, and anime producer Ena Hamabe will attend the convention and host a talk about the manga and anime.Last year's event took place in August 2024 and reached 46,000 attendants, setting a new record.Source: Press releases
