K-Comics World Exhibition Showcases Korean Webtoons in 5 Countries

A global exhibition spotlighting popular Korean webtoons is making its way through Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia from July to October 2025.Hosted by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), the K-Comics World exhibition will be held in five countries — Egypt, Hungary, Canada, China, and Japan — with the goal of boosting global awareness of Korean webtoons.The tour began on July 1 in Cairo, Egypt, at the Korean Cultural Center, featuring Hellbound, the hit series by Sang-ho Yeon and Gyu-seok Choi that was adapted into a Netflix original live-action series. A special “Meet the Artist” session with Choi was also held for local fans. The Cairo exhibition will run through July 31.The exhibition will next travel to Budapest, Ottawa, and Shanghai, and will conclude in Osaka in October. Each location will highlight Korean webtoons popular in the respective country, offering tailored selections and immersive displays.
