Pokémon Franchise Streams 2 Summer Anime Shorts
The Pokémon anime began streaming "Morpeko" to Hajime no Otekake" (The First Outing With Morpeko), the first of two shorts in the "Pokémon to Kakeru Natsu Monogatari" (Summer Stories of Running With Pokémon) project for children and their families during summer vacation on Friday. The shorts depict two people embarking on their own adventures with Pokémon, and their discoveries along the way. In this first 3D short, a boy named Shōta heads off to the beef festival grounds to meet Bisharp, a hero he looks up to. The second short, "Hikozaru to Shinmai Pokémon Kenkyuin" (Chimchar and the Newbie Pokémon Researcher), will stream on July 11, and the 2D short follows a researcher named Ryō who encounters idiosyncratic Pokémon while conducting field work. Kei Shindō stars in the first short as Shōta, and Hiiro Ishibashi stars in the second short as Ryō. Ikue Ōtani, Kana Hanazawa, Megumi Hayashibara, Etsuko Kozakura, Rikako Aikawa, Kenta Miyake, Tsuguo Mogami, and Tatsuki Kobe also have roles in the shorts.Source: Comic Natalie
