'Let's Play' Anime's English-Subtitled Trailer Reveals More Cast, Staff, October Premiere

Crunchyroll unveiled a new teaser trailer for studio OLM's anime adaptation of Leeanne M. Krecic's (also known as "Mongie") Let's Play web comic on Thursday. The video reveals more cast, a new staff member, and the anime's October 2025 premiere. The new cast members include:Conisch is composing the anime's music. The anime will premiere on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block in October.The anime stars Kana Hanazawa as Sam Young.Crunchyroll held the anime's world premiere at Anime Expo on July 3 with creator Leeanne M. Krecic, director Daiki Tomiyasu, and producers Heather Horn, Hana Sugawara, and Minaka Sakamoto in attendance.Mongie launched the comic on the Korean platform WEBTOON in 2016. The comic ended its third "season" in September 2022, after which Mongie announced that she will no longer update the comic on WEBTOON due to numerous reasons involving the WEBTOON platform, including claims of lack of marketing on the platform and pay disparities. The comic will return in fall 2025, though Mongie has not yet announced a new platform.Rocketship Entertainment is releasing the comic in English, and it released the fourth volume in July 2024.
