Schoolgirl Strikers 2 Game Ends Service in September After 7 Years

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Square Enix's Schoolgirl Strikers smartphone game announced on Friday that the game will end service on September 29.The game halted sales of the premium Stellar Coin currency at the time of the announcement, but users may continue to use coins in their possession until the end of service. The game will refund any unused currency after the termination of the service.The company is also working on an offline version of the game players can continue to play after September.There will be scheduled events and new updates to the game for the "Grand Finale" until the end of service. Players can find the full schedule on the official website.The original Schoolgirl Strikers smartphone game updated into the Schoolgirl Strikers 2 version in May 2018. Square Enix launched the original smartphone game in April 2014. J.C. Staff animated the Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel television anime series for airing from January to April 2017. The game received a spinoff "idol rhythm action" game titled Schoolgirl Strikers Twinkle Melodies in August 2017. The Schoolgirl Strikers Twinkle Melodies spinoff game ended service in September 2018.The game inspired a manga titled Schoolgirl Strikers Comic Channel by Hinase Momoyama (Umineko When They Cry: Dawn of the Golden Witch, Higurashi When They Cry: Massacre Arc).
