Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express CG Anime Casts Yukari Tamura

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of animator Yōhei Kameyama's Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express (Ginga Tokkyū Milky☆Subway), a sequel to his Milky☆Highway CG anime short, revealed on Tuesday that Yukari Tamura will voice Minami Minase, a famous idol, in the anime. The anime's staff posted a video of the anime's insert song "Tokimeki★Meteostrike" performed by Minami Minase, as voiced by Tamura.The anime will premiere on July 3 on the Tokyo MX channel at 9:54 p.m. JST, and will simultaneously stream on YouTube. The anime's dubbed versions in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, French, Hindi and Russian, will be available on YouTube.The anime's English website describes the story: Kameyama once again directs, writes, and produces the sequel, and he also handled the character designs, modeling, animation, editing, and other duties mostly himself. Momoko Terasawa is voicing Chiharu in the sequel, while Anna Nagase voices Makina. Additional cast members are: The anime's theme song is "Gingakei Made Tonde Ike!" (Fly to the Galaxy!), the 1977 song by the girl group Candies.Kameyama released the original Milky☆Highway short in 2022 as his graduation project for Kadokawa's Vantan Game Academy CG Animator major. The English-subtitled version (seen below) and the original version have 6.75 million views combined.
