This Monster Wants to Eat Me Anime Reveals Trailer, Visual, U.S. Debut at Otakon
Pony Canyon revealed a new video and visual on Friday for the television anime of Sai Naekawa's This Monster Wants to Eat Me (Watashi o Tabetai, Hito de nashi) manga. The below video has English subtitles that can be toggled on. The anime will have a stage event at Japan Expo Paris on July 5, and the Pony Canyon booth at the Anime Expo event from July 3-6 will feature the anime.The anime will host its U.S. premiere of episode one at Otakon on August 8. Manga creator Sai Naekawa, manga editor Takumi Kamemaru, and anime producer Ena Hamabe will attend the convention and host a talk about the manga and anime. Otakon will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. from August 8-10.The anime will debut in October.The series will star: Naoyuki Kuzuya (Saiyuki Gaiden) is the chief director and Yūsuke Suzuki (Duel Masters Win, Duel Masters King Max) is directing the anime at Studio Lings. Mitsutaka Hirota (Bibliophile Princess, Days With My Stepsister) is overseeing and writing the series scripts, Nozomi Ikuyama (Duel Masters King key animation) is designing the characters, Ryōsuke Naya (365 Days to the Wedding, Love Is Indivisible by Twins) is the sound director, and Keiji Inai (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? all five seasons) is composing the music. The company Infinite is producing.Additional staff members include: Yen Press licensed the manga and describes the story: Naekawa launched the manga in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine in 2020.
