1st Golden Kamuy Spinoff Novel to Bundle New Anime on Blu-ray

Golden Kamuy: Tsurumi Tokushirō no Shukugan (Golden Kamuy: Tokushirō Tsurumi's Aspiration), the first official spinoff novel based on Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga, will go on sale on October 17, and it will have a limited edition that bundles a Blu-ray Disc with new anime. Historical mystery writer Amon Ibuki is penning the novel about the numerous shocking incidents that Tsurumi and the 7th Division experienced during the Russo-Japanese War.The Blu-ray Disc will include an adaptation of the popular manga chapter "Inazuma Gōtō to Mamushi no O-Gin" ("The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin") and the mini episode "Shimaenaga" (The Hokkaido Long-Tailed Snow Bird). The new anime's runtime is about 30 minutes long. Shizutaka Sugahara is returning from the fourth television anime season as chief director, and Brains Base is once again animating. To celebrate June 12 being Lover's Day (from the Brazilian custom of Dia dos Namorados), the staff posted a key visual (pictured above) for the new anime.Noda launched the manga in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine in 2014, and ended it in April 2022. The manga has inspired four anime seasons, and production of the anime's final arc has been green-lit.
