The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity TV Anime Debuts on Netflix Outside Japan on September 7
Netflix announced at Anime Expo on Saturday that it will stream the television anime of Saka Mikami's The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku) manga outside Japan starting on September 7, with new episodes streaming weekly. The release will include an English dub.Update: ANN can confirm the series is listed as premiering on Netflix in some Southeast Asian countries on July 13.Netflix also revealed a clip from the anime. The staff of the anime also revealed clean opening and ending sequence videos on Sunday in Japan Tatsuya Kitani performs the opening theme song "Manazashi wa Hikari" (The Gaze is a Light), and UshioReira performs the ending theme song "Hare no Hi ni" (On This Sunny Day).The anime premiered on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS 11 on July 5 at 24:30 JST (effectively, July 6). The anime will stream on Netflix in Japan starting on July 6.The anime stars:Miyuki Kuroki (Her Blue Sky film, The Idolm@ster SideM) is directing the anime at CloverWorks, and Satoshi Yamaguchi (The IDOLM@STER, DARLING in the FRANXX animation director) is the associate director. Rino Yamazaki (Akebi's Sailor Uniform, UniteUp!) is in charge of series scripts, Haruka Tsuzuki (UniteUp!, Saekano the Movie finale key animation) is the series technical director. Kōhei Tokuoka (The Ancient Magus' Bride) is designing the characters and also serving as the chief animation director, and Moeki Harada is composing the music.Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the story:Mikami launched the manga in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website in October 2021. Kodansha published the manga's 16th compiled book volume on April 9.
