Crunchyroll to Screen Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Compilation Film in Select Territories This Summer

Crunchyroll describes the compilation film: The film opened in Japan on May 30 and ranked at #4 in its opening weekend. The film sold 138,000 tickets and earned 198,332,500 yen (about US$1.36 million) in its first three days.Tatsuya Kitani performed the film's theme song, an acoustic version of "Ao no Sumika," his opening theme song for the anime's second season.The anime's second season premiered in July 2023 and aired for two cours (quarters of a year) for a continuous half-year run. The anime adapted both the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" ("Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu") arc and the "Shibuya Incident" arc of the manga. Crunchyroll streamed the season as it aired in Japan, and is also streaming an English dub.GKIDS has acquired the anime and will open the film in theaters in the United States on July 16.
