Crunchyroll Adds Gate Keepers Anime

The anime debuted in April 2000, and it ran for 24 episodes. The defunt Geneon Entertainment released the anime on DVD. The sequel OVA Gate Keepers 21 launched in 2002, and it had six episodes. The series is based on a 1999 visual novel for PlayStation. The game inspired a manga by Keiji Gotō and Hiroshi Yamaguchi in the same year.The story follows takes place in Japan in 1969. Gate Keepers can open dimensional gates to gain superpowers. Shun Ukiya unlocks a gate after Invaders arrive at his home.Kōichi Chigira (Full Metal Panic!) directed the anime at Studio Gonzo. Yamaguchi (To Heart) handled the series composition. Gotō (Martian Successor Nadesico) was the character designer. Kōhei Tanaka (Dirty Pair) composed the music.Source: Crunchyroll via WTK
